Plenty of assumptions can be made off of this.
One of mine is maybe there is a stand still shot and you can aim without actually moving your legs.
Another would be, that might be something else on the HUD and his reticule isn't there. Because it looks as if bullets are going where they should (on that enemy straight ahead), considering he is shooting.
(my most believed) Maybe there is a trait or a weapon of the enemy that causes your aim to go off, i say this because hes clearly looking at the enemy up front. BUT this trait/weapon sent his reticule off to the side, because if it was his reticule, its red so right there we can see he's technically on an enemy but there isn't one inside the reticule. So I'm saying he technically is looking at the enemy (causing the reticule to be red) but this trait/weapon is making it veer off.

It could possibly be a lock on ability? As Cj said before the game is supposed to have perk sort of things like Camo.

I'm with i2ogue.
Looks more like a targeting system as opposed to a reticle. The reticle would have drastically changed.

Evil Otto confirmed that the off-center discolored reticule was a bi-product of a glitch in the build of theater mode they were using to take those screens.

At the time of those screens Reach wasn't even close to the Alpha stage. They just last week went into Bungie internal alpha.

well even though having no crosshair was explained, im pretty sure the theatre system is just like halo3 and you can show a clip with it off.... no big deal either way..
