They are both really different, true. But they do share a few things other than "pew-pew". For one thing, they both played a major part in the rise of the Xbox 360, and games turning more mainstream rather than the stereotypical D&D nerd perception. Also, they are both old and in their dying stages. They have hit the phase of putting out subpar games and relying on their namesake to get sales. Fortunately, within a few years they will both be dead so the better plan is move on to a new series. Like some of the Bioware games or Assassins Creed.
